Emily is currently finishing up her Bachelor’s degree in the School of Kinesiology at UBC. She is excited to be assisting CHANGEpain’s clinicians with their patients to help them reduce their pain, and improve their quality of life.
She currently volunteers with residents at the George Pearson Centre, getting them to move in the pool and enjoy the aquatic environment. She also assists older adults with their exercise regimes at UBC’s BodyWorks program. After completing her degree, Emily will likely pursue a Masters of Physiotherapy and plans on applying all she is learning to become a well-rounded and knowledgeable health-care professional.
In her free time, Emily loves to appreciate the great outdoors. Although it has been a while since she has gone camping, day hikes with her friends and family bring a smile to her face. She also enjoys listening to stories and practicing the cha-cha. If you would like a crash course on cha-cha, stop and say hello!
