Michael Salloum Kinesiology Intern
Michael Salloum is a 3rd Kinesiology Student who has been working at CPC since September 2016. He is involved with various projects around the clinic including research. His plans involve applying to medical school in UBC and specializing in neurology, specifically neurodegenerative research.
Outside of the clinic, Michael’s work takes him all over BC and across many different professions. He enjoys gardening, volunteering, and cooking and as such engages in all three activities simultaneously! He works with UBC farm and runs a community plot from his backyard where he grows (according to him) the best slam-dunkin’ veggies and fruits this side of the city! Humble, I know. All jokes aside, he is very passionate about healthier and greener living and as such gardening is his passion; if you see him and have any gardening issues, do not hesitate to ask—he will speak your ears off! Along with his gardening, he cooks all that he sows and makes baked goods that are both nutritious and delicious.
As well, Michael has been working with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as an event organizer and coordinator for the past five years. His work involves planning and fundraising for cancer research across the province and promoting healthier living through diet and exercise. He also works with the Vancouver Whitecaps and the BC Lions at BC Place stadium for clothing sales and marketing.
If you see Michael around the clinic, be sure to say hi to him!
