Pavneet Dhanoa  Kinesiology Intern

Pavneet is completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honours) at SFU which helped fuel her passion for the human body. With a special interest in cardiac physiology, she completed her Honours in the Molecular Cardiac Physiology Group at SFU where she worked on characterizing the SK Channel Function in the Zebrafish heart.

Pavneet is an avid volunteer and enjoys giving back to the community. Currently, she volunteers as a call taker at the Fraser Health Crisis Line, support volunteer in the Emergency Department of Surrey Memorial Hospital, and as a peer mentor in the BPK Mentorship program at SFU. Pavneet is driven by her desire to help others. She also loves dancing and is a member of the SFU Giddha Club, a Punjabi folk dance team.

Outside the clinic, Pavneet can be found producing makeup, fashion, and motivation related blog posts. She is always excited about spending time with her family and friends whether that includes random ice cream runs, walks along the beach, or long drives.
