Saira is currently attending Simon Fraser University to complete her bachelor’s degree in the Biological Sciences. She is interested in how pollutants affect an organism's health and their environment. Saira recently took her MCAT in the summer of 2017, and is interested in pursuing a career in medicine. She started volunteering at the CHANGEpain Clinic in June 2017 and enjoys learning about pain science and the human body and hopes that these subjects will relate to her studies.
Saira enjoys listening to electronic music, and playing the piano and the ukulele. She also tries to participate in various sports in the summer including beach volleyball, kayaking, and rock climbing. When she is not volunteering, Saira bakes phenomenal broccoli casseroles. Saira plans on going on an exchange in South America in the near future.
