Alyssa Hodgson MA MD FRCPC (Anesthesiology)

Dr. Hodgson delivers myoActivation trigger point injections and Group Medical Visits at CHANGEpain.  

After earning her master's degree in French literature, Dr. Hodgson completed her degree in medicine and her residency in anesthesiology at the University of British Columbia.  She has been practicing anesthesiology since 2007, most recently at Royal Columbian Hospital.

Alyssa's interest in working with pain patients began several years ago.  She practiced part time at CHANGEpain in 2014/15 and again starting in summer 2017.  

Alyssa's passion for understanding and helping people in pain comes from her interest in how a person's wellness is dependent on the interplay between body, mind and spirit .  She is currently completing the Advanced Integrative Healing Program at Langara and is looking at ways to integrate energy healing into her medical practice.
