Heather Hume RN

Heather is a compassionate and dedicated nurse, graduating from McMaster University in 2005. Shortly thereafter she relocated to B.C where she gained much experience working with complex patients recovering from surgery at the downtown hospital in Vancouver.

Advancing her education she obtained her Critical Care nursing diploma through the British Columbia Institute of Technology and was eager to apply her knowledge in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit.

During this time Heather’s passion for helping others in pain continued to develop. In pursuit of her Masters’ of Nursing in Advanced Practice Leadership Heather continued with her education through The University of Victoria. During this time she had the opportunity to learn about the role of the Advanced Practice Nurse as a Navigator.

New to CHANGEpain, Heather is excited about the opportunity to help others not only navigate their pain but also pain treatments and adjunctive therapies from a holistic perspective. Dedicated to life long learning, Heather is excited to grow with CHANGEpain heading into the future.

Heather enjoys being active within the beauty of BC, including walking, running, hiking and skiing with her family.
