GMV Introductory Classes

Unsure about where to begin? Embark on your journey with our foundational introduction classes, designed to provide you with a general understanding of our clinic and services, and essential information and skills on chronic pain and the best ways to manage it.

GMV Safe Movement

Our safe movement classes teach safe and effective techniques for physical movement and activity, emphasizing the importance of proper form, body mechanics, and injury prevention. Learn to reduce the risk of injury, improve overall well-being, and gain the skills and awareness to move safely and confidently in daily life or fitness programs.

GMV Active Gentle Movement

Engage in low-impact physical activities designed to improve flexibility, mobility, and overall well-being. These classes often focus on slow, controlled movements and stretches that are suitable for individuals of various fitness levels and physical conditions. They can help reduce tension, increase relaxation, and promote a sense of mindfulness while enhancing physical health.

GMV Wellness/Pain Conditions

Enhance your quality of life by embracing a holistic approach to wellness that considers both the body and mind while addressing specific pain-related conditions. Receive guidance on lifestyle choices, exercises, and strategies that promote physical and emotional well-being, with a focus on managing or alleviating pain.

GMV Brain & Mental Health

Explore strategies and exercises that enhance mental health, stimulate brain function, and support emotional resilience in promoting cognitive well-being and emotional balance. Learn techniques for stress reduction, cognitive enhancement, and emotional regulation. Gain valuable tools and insights to help maintain a healthy mind, manage stress, and cultivate positive mental habits for a better quality of life.

Free virtual group sessions (MSP-covered) to support you every step of the way.

Our virtual Group Medical Visits (GMV) are medical appointments done in a group that physicians lead with other team members to provide patient care. A GMV can be a single session or a series of sessions, ranging from 60 minutes to 90 minutes. You can take a session more than once and you don’t have to take all the sessions in a series, though it’s recommended.

Classes offered include key pillars, safe movement, yoga, brain and mental health, somatic therapy, wellness/pain conditions, and more.

We want to empower you to self-cope with your pain.

There is a class for everyone. We encourage you to explore the various classes we offer to support your individual needs and enhance your comprehensive pain care.

Referral Needed?

Good news! MSP changed their rules to increase accessibility.

You can now take up to 3 Group Medical Visits a day, a total of 4 hours, regardless of specialties. You can have a GMV and a one-on-one appointment on the same day with different physicians.

You can use this scale of intensity for reference:

Low to high intensity:

  1. Yoga for Beginners
  2. Safe Movement: Stretch and Activation
  3. Restorative Yoga
  4. Somatic Therapy
  5. Yoga for Widespread Pain
  6. Therapeutic Yoga
  7. Pilates

High intensity:

  1. Kundalini

All other Safe Movement GMVs have intensities between Restorative Yoga and Therapeutic Yoga.

If you are a new patient without a referral, attend a GP-led GMV first. This will be your entry route to accessing all other GMVs.

If your referral has been accepted and you are waiting for your first consultation, you can start your journey with GMVs. We recommend our Introductory Classes – Orientation and Empowering – for all patients who are just starting with us.
