Changepain Clinic is now offering a Group Medication-Assisted Psychotherapy Program, a structured treatment that combines medically supervised IV dissociative anesthetic (KET) with guided psychotherapy in a small group setting.
This program is designed for individuals experiencing chronic pain, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress, particularly when conventional therapies have provided limited benefit.
IV dissociative anesthetic is not used as a standalone treatment. It is integrated with psychotherapy to support deeper emotional processing, increase self-awareness, and help patients engage more effectively in their therapeutic work.
The program follows a structured process that includes individual assessment and intake, preparation sessions, guided medication-assisted psychotherapy sessions, and group integration. Each phase is designed to support safety, readiness, and meaningful integration of the experience into daily life.
Sessions take place in a controlled clinical environment, with medical monitoring and therapeutic support throughout. Patients may experience temporary changes in perception, mood, or thought patterns during sessions, and all participants are carefully screened to ensure safety.
While individual results vary, some participants may experience reduced symptoms of depression or anxiety, increased emotional insight, and improved engagement in therapy.
This program complements existing care and is not intended to replace ongoing mental health treatment unless directed by a clinician.
